Camper from1961-1964

Douglas Cornish

Swimming the double B is a vivid memory, as was hydro planing. Lookout Mountain camp trips were rather etched in my memory with the counslers Archie Coupe and Pierre Black. I fell out of a tree at the top of the mountain and nearly broke my neck, but all's well that ends well.

Swim races, 8" regatta, Susquehanna Boat Trips, Lookout Mountain Camp outs, Rock Searching...

Doug Cornish     I attended Eaglebrook from 1964 to 1968 in Deerfield, MA which brings back memories of discipline and academic rigors. Won an essay contest and a trip to Washington DC. From 1966 to 1968 I attended The Hill School while all the Hyde Bay campers were at Gilman. 1970-1974 accepted an early bid from Georgia Tech and moved to Atlanta. I took the Series 7 four times, now the truth can be told, and landed a job with Dean Witter Reynolds. I married Melinda Ely in 1978 at the Arcola Country Club. I am now living in a suburb of D.C. Silver Spring.

I Wrote an essay for my cousin's magazine, The Futurist - founder Ed Cornish - about what will be extinct in 2030. Working at a furniture retail outlet for preservation of capital.
