John Mercer - This is a 1979 painting representing a flower vendor at Lake Shrinigar in Kashmir, where Kittie and Tom had visited. All that is fine, but Clark's Point seems to find its way into the picture. The point I'm making with these last several pictures is that the artist's natural setting is set early and then appears over and over. Hyde Bay was an essential setting to my mother's paintings.
